Nice step by step walkthru, Bob. It seems to come alive.
Just one thing, I think he could fly it better if he sits inside the cockpit.  |

My guess is the "compressed" perspective that comes when you use a photo that was taken at a long focal length. It's almost impossible to draw just by eyeballing it, so paintings that use it tend to look unnatural.
It's also very, very important to note that "unnatural" does not connote "bad" in any form. In fact, I enjoy it when a painting isn't just as the artist sees it.  _________________ QED, sort of. |

resurfacing an old thread.. To the artist, how do you feel looking back at this post and your work..

hey BotaSafta
when i get the chance to digitally paint i still use the same technique, i make a grid then lay down solid colours and paint what i see.. i got a bit of help from Capt Flush about painting straight lines and a few other tips  |
