I went to my local Art Store today to buy school supplies and found a liquid pencil. I was intrigued so I bought one. I haven't made up my mind about it yet, still getting a feel for it with some sketching. If you want to erase, you have to wait 5 minutes. Here's the info if you want to check it out for yourselves:

PaperMate Ingenuity Liquid Pencil (#90056)
#2, HB; 0.7mm point
Graphite Color
Eraser Refill: #64885
Liquid Pencil Refill: #90062

Later,

Damn I don't live in America. I'd get a free example of that pen.

Like that I assume. Would be nice if you could mix the "ink" yourself to control the weight of the graphite that goes down.

I'm not sure the advantage of this pen/pencil when there are already so many mechanical pencils available with a variety of lead widths... and which can be erased immediately without having to wait for the medium to dry. Seems more of a gimmick than anything... Rolling Eyes

After playing around with it, it's definitely a gimick. The graphite, once down on paper, resembles a cross between a pencil and a pen (would that still be called a pen-cil? BWAH!). At .7mm, that's a little too thin for my liking, so I won't be buying another one. I'm sure that if they sell enough, they'll produce other sizes and "hardnesses".
