Hey there everyone. This is my first painting that I've ever done on the computer. Only really been painting for 2 months or so. I could use some C&C so far on what I've done. This is a self-portrait by the way .

I decided to ignore anyone who's ever taught me anything and tried detailing before filling in basic shapes. I know, it's a bad practice yadda yadda. Anyway, if you could just comment on how this looks so far, it would be much appreciated
Also, thanks to sleepwalker for giving me the motivation to paint this! |

I think it looks really good. The arms and hands are great. _________________ Put a muzzle on her Turkish, before she gets bit. You don't wanna get bit, do you boy? |

whay on earth did u decide to ignore the most simple "rule" of blocking areas first??
do u have a sketch? something rough before the coloring at least?
however u r doing this one, it looks OK for now. the arms look good. i hope, for your sake, that u wont be dissapointed about how the colors of the shirt fit the arms. u might notice that the contrast or hue of the skin doesn't go along very nice with the shirt. and now changing it is a pain in the a$$.
but post updates. i will like u to prove everyone wrong _________________ ToPeirA |

I had a starting sketch that I un-visibilized it before saving. Also, I do the shirt etc all on different layers, so it wouldn't be that hard to modify the colors. |

Probably be a good time to start going back and giving the body some
detail touches. like on the creases.
Great start though. Hope you luck. _________________ Thankyou for your time.

Well, I experimented a little with the pants, and the left leg is looking like crap. Anyone who could recommend how to texture this, please help?

Another update. Finished the pants and have them just how I want them. Also tweaked the arms on the shirt. Next big task is the shirt. Dunno whether I will try the lettering or not. Might be too overwhelming. Going to paint the head next.

Spent the last two and a half hours doing the face. The shirt is being a bitch though so I dunno if I'll even texture it yet =(

Dude, the head is exactly the same size as the one in the reference picture. |

No, not at all. I already said, I traced over the original in a size 3 paintbrush on a seperate layer, then painted in everything by hand. I zoomed in for a lot of the details, and if you look at the pants side by side, you will notice that they look completely different. You're accusing me of things I didn't do =/. |
