Shawn- Looks like you're headed in the right direction- It's a bit hard for me to tell how you work from just looking at your pics, but one of your comments caught my attention-
"Still trying to figure what else to do with it."
Try sketching first, and planning out your image before you get as detailed as you have. If there was going to be a character in there, you should probably have had him in there all along. That'll keep images from looking like things were 'tacked on'. Also, don't be afraid to use colors that don't "seem" like they belong there. Rocks aren't solely composed of blues and grays, deserts aren't only reds and oranges... Also, the clouds in the desert pic should have picked up some color from the sun behind the hills.
I like the mech you drew. It's a great sketch for experimenting with multiple light sources... _________________ Visionbin |

Your mech remind me of the building industrie... I dunno why but I see in it many things that made me think about the building industry...
the antenna look like a screwdriver, there a detail on the pelvis that made me thing of a breeze block... the cam on his shoulder look like the cams they use for monitoring on buildings...
ok, that was an amazingly stupid remark, but it's 3 am here, and i'm becoming seriously tired... _________________ drawing, sk8in... i'm really a deviant... |
