So I created a model in milkshape .... is there any software(free) that provides a good render ?

Lightscape, POVray, Vray demo and some more I think...

I just pulled them off the top of my head, the problem is whether they work with Milkshape. Brazil R/S for example only works with 3d max so far.

Try Lightscape or POVray I think they are supposed to be free, they may be a bit difficult to use tho. They both have Radiosity / GI capabilities.

I have only been into 3D for a little while so I can't think of anything that will specifically be useful to you.
