Hi Guys,

I'm a 3D artist / Character animator and , inspired by 'Ice Age', would like to
do a short animation with a 'cute' character. My sketching / 2d skills are limited
so that's why I'm posting this request here.

This is where I need your help: I'm looking for sketches and idea's for such a
character. I'm thinking along the line of a furry animal/humanoid/alien hybrid.

So if anyone can help me with some cool design and sketches, I would be most grateful.
(When the animation is finished you will ofcourse get full credits).

I'm looking forward to your idea's!

Hello there again, I sat down and tried this concept thing. I�m not a pro or anything and still have problems in my sketches and such but it sounded like a cool thing and I need to train on these three views.
Maybe it will help you get an idea or something.
Let me know what you think.

Hi, folks, my name is Leo and I'm new.

Some extra info about the creature would be useful. For example:

Morphology: Are we talking about a small creature? Is it clumsy? Is it smart? Is it anxious? Is it slow? Is it an alien? Should it be complex, as Stuart Little, or should it be based on simple forms, like the creatures from Monsters Inc.?

Background: Does he have any bad habits? Where does he come from? Where is he and what is he doing? What�s the set? What�s the animation about?

Humanoid: When you said �humanoid�� do you mean that:
a) he shold have a �humanoid� body: 2 legs, two arms, etc.
b) he should be very expressive and capable of showing different feelings
c) both options
Does he talk?

Hello Leo. I am the guy who had made a few of the concepts here.
I should also have asked about these question before then it would have been easier to know what he wanted.
I don�t think he is that interested though... Confused

hiya, i dunno why i did this :> but i was bored i guess...

PROS: Ororo is his name, and he loves to shit. lol! really, lol, he does.

CONS: Why? cause i say so. > Very Happy

His mouth is connected to the dumbest naturalbiological digestive system ever... what he eats straightaway heads for his ass. Of course, -some- nutrients are absorbed along the way, keeping him alive. As a result, he has alot of stomach ulcers and her farts alot. And as such, he is in a constant bad mood.

He loves to growl at other creatures around him...

PROS: He has got awesome hearing,

CONS:and he loves to pick his ears all the time.

PROS: He has nice fur, which isnt too warm or too airy. Each fiber is empty within, thus creating an cooling/insulating covering around him depending on the weather. He is comfy at all times.

CONS: He has no waist. His Tail always gets soiled with his poo, cause he cant stoop to clean his ass.

man..that was dumb.

like i said, i was and am bored :p

-hope- u like em, cause that 10 mins on PS didnt do anything to help with my boredom... :/

Lordhar hasn�t given any signs of life this far, but anyway here are my creatures (at least, some premature concepts). Sorry for the delay.
But the important matter of discussion for me, I think, besides the unclear and apparently abandoned request, it�s to figure out which are the fundamental features that define a lovely, cute creature. So, my question for you is: where does this cuteness come from? Is it the fur? Big vivid eyes? Squeezable cheeks? Fat limbs? What do you think?

Slow, a little dumb, but so cute.

His ornament and tail would adapt to his mood.

This fellow makes me nervous. He seems so anxious! What the hell is he thinking? It can�t be anything good.

Mmm, don�t ask.
