Ok.. First post on the new board.
Would like some advice on this girl I'm trying to draw:
I think she looks kinda weird.. What can I do to make it look better ?
Here are some things That I think are somehow wrong:

well, one thing is I think you made her upper torso too short, generally its about 3 heads in height (or her head is too big). the problem with her arm is its kinda muscular looking, you probably want the shoulder a little less defined.
large part of the problem with the midrift area is that she's twisted at a weird angle, I think the right side of her hip is cut off incorrectly.
hopefuilly someone who's better at anatomy can give you a more useful answer, but that's my suggestions. |

I was going to go through and tell you what parts were wrong and why but to be honest, it was quite a long list. You need to do all you can to work from reference. Take life drawing courses, work from pictures, draw people in real life, and study anatomy. Just comparing your drawing to an anatomy book will show you your mistakes in an obvious way. Good luck! |
