I like your old warrior much better. Mainly because he looks like a warrior. The first guy looks like Ricky Martin with mustache, dancing to 'La Vida Loca'.
If i was you right now, i would concentrate on anatomy more than anything. |

The anatomy on your second one is much better. The first is in a highly awkward pose, with an arm that couldn't possibly bend that way. I would suggest you try drawing figures using something as a reference...I find athletic magazines have lots of good reference figures. _________________ -=-=-=-

Hello. Im gonna try to answer more personally this time like all the other cool dudes does.
"Dr Monkey"
Thank you, He actually looks a little bit like Ricky...hehe.
I know about the anatomy, have a little problem with those muscles.
"Eric Pommer"
I think the arm could be twisted that way...hmmm
The second was made yesterday so I guess I am learning.
Thanks for the tip about the athletic magazine. Thanks for the reply.
"Loxley"
It seems like I am using that pose quite often, even on the Mechas..hehe
But I think the dancing pose suited this guy anyway. Thank you for comments.
have a nice day everyone

Hey Matthew, I like the second one better. Very good job on the clothes, hands and anatomy.
The first one has some mistakes like too big hands and a strange pose, the anatomy isn't that bad.
Keep drawing and painting |

Heh. Cool drawings. Hey, we all gotta start out somewhere at some level. =)
People have mentioned problems with the anatomy, but I'm not sure if anyone's brought up problems with proportion.
I recommend that you go to a local bookstore and see if they have anatomy books by either Burne Hogarth or George Bridgeman. They helped me a lot when I began figure drawing a few terms back junior year in high school. This may sound foul, but I found that staring at those books and reading the actual text when I was on bathroom breaks really helped (being the busy person I am). Okay, maybe I shoulda omitted the last part (no offense to anyone), but hey, that's my ten cents. =) _________________ Endor |

No offense taken, I think the tips here in Sijun Forum really helps.
So thank you for the tips with the books.
