thanks for the comments guys, i'll try to get a reference photo - the one i used was on the cover of his biography which my mum borrowed from the library so I will have to get it out again and photograph it

Well, its really good and not a perfect copy, so it is not traced( ... perhaps the rough shapes, i dont know)

But, well, its just a copy of a photo, nothing more. Just a time-killer and a technic-training.(but, 20hours of drawing is good everytime.)

Every selfportrait in the sp-thread is more impressive to me.

This is beyond my current skill, but as Staff Sarge pointed out, it's a little flat under the chin. Maybe if you went back and really darkened in that area it would help. I think that will improve this already incredible drawing. Smile

What is the actual size of your drawing?
