Can't release what or whom these are for, but I do have permission to show them.
Layouts were provided and everything is on casters (layers). It is surprising how much that affects how I had to work and how limiting it was.
They were done very quickly, maybe 1-2 days each.
Whatever I may feel about them as paintings, I think they will work to tell the clients story, and I have to keep that inside my thick skull.

These pieces of art are simply at the top when it comes to color scheme and raw talent. I often wonder how much reference you may use for each piece of work. Your spectrum is vast, ranging from loose watercolors to highly detailed oil paintings. I can tell that you press for such things, at some times, touching into the abstract and at other times studying textures under a microscope. I don't know if these will make it full size (a little larger anyway) on your website...but I will anticipate anyhow.
Great work and thanks for sharing |

You seem to hinting that you are somewhat disapointed in these works. How could they be better? I sure can't tell. |

you got SKILLZ man ! (skillz and talent i mean)
doesn't look like star wars, or t3 tho
i got a question also : do you work at daytime or nighttime ? (or do you prefer natural light or bulbs ?...i konw it's screen and stuff, but i just found out that even though i prefer to work at night, daylight is cooler for my eyes ) _________________ Wet tentacles, horny chixxx & scary designs

What can I say that hasn't already been said? The lighting, mood, composition...everything is just right in all your work. It's art within art. I find myself looking at brush strokes trying to understand how you achieve certain things. That's what makes looking at your work so much fun.
I swear I'd pay money to sit and watch you work. Seeing that little peice you did on the FF DVD has me wanting more! If you ever decide to teach or have a workshop, put me on the list so I can fly out there, Spooge!
Anyhow, I like them all. My favorite has to be the last one. That one reminds you that you can breathe again cause it's all over, if you know what I mean. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Wow. Need I even say it?
It seems that this batch's got more "grain" to them than usual? Guess it's because it was harder to achieve texturized look with the previous Photoshop brush engines. Or is it because you've added Painter to your arsenal for professional work too? |

VERY Impressive Monsieur!
You mentioned that keeping it all seperated on layers affects your working methods and how limiting it is. An interesting comment. Perhaps you could elaborate on this a tad? I sometimes feel working on layers can be a bit of a catch 22... I'm wondering if you run into the same limitations as I do at times when this is asked for. _________________ Trust in Trance |

Ohh so Spooge is Craig
Im always breathtaken when orange is used in a scene, it always look like magic.
...hmmmm...Maybe I should start to work a little bit longer on my pieces, I never paint more than 2-3 hours.
Have a nice day and or prosper....hmmm...what is it Tuvok is saying in Star Trek Voyager?..hmmm

that is great stuff, lord mullins!
They are really really sharp, so I guess the originals are huge? could you answer my question of how to work on high rez like 6-10 000pixels, do yu split them up or something?
I'm gonna be a bit picky now and comment some things in your paintings.
sometimes it bothers me how dirty grey the clouds become when you put clouds in the background(everything else is so perfect) like you did in the 04 pic(the killing scene) next to the knee of the monster, it looks like you had a white spot there and made it darker with black paint, I know that's not how u do it but it sure looks so. I might be totally wrong about this so look at theese crits like I've got a bottle of whiskey next to my wacom. Oh and one more thing, I like the ps 7 brushes texture look, but I dunno, kinda like your work with the old brushes more, that's just what I think
oh and I love the motion blur effect that u put over mountains to get em foggy... grlgrl (drooling like homer)
keep up the good work my apprentice. |

Awesome work Craig.
Would I be right in guessing that as far as freelance goes, these were really great fun to do as well? I recognise a bit of your King Arthur style in these. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
