It just so happen that a few of us were talking the other day about Jim Carrey and where he had gone. After a serious streak of winning shows at the box office we all figured he simply must have taken a break but low and behold the all mighty canadian comedian rears his head once again and it looks very very promising.

Who knows, maybe it's good. Jim Carey's been doing well actually, The Majestic was a good movie in my eyes at least and I could have sworn there was something else last year.
My usual barometer for movies like this, is how badly it gets condemned by the church. One of my favorite current religious comedies has to be Dogma (Kevin Smith). The scandal was way bigger than it's ad campaign, and I was amazed they even came out this hard against the film, he's freaking Catholic and knew more about his religion than most people. The worst thing is when it gets condemned before people even watch it, they just ASSUME it's blasphemy or something and get all riled up for nothing.
So yeah, if theres no scandal behind it when it gets released it'll probably suck , I guess that's my point . |
