This is a creature I created from my mind while thinking about Giger's Alien. It's not meant to be Giger's alien but instead a creature inspired by it.

This is much nicer than the usual Geiger-influenced stuff I'm accustomed to seeing. Very cool. Very dangerous-looking. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

Beautiful pic, Mind...
I noticed on your site you mention setting the brush to Fade when creating leaves in your Jungle Cave pic. Does this mean you're not using a tablet? If not, have you experimented with setting the size to Stylus? Just curious... _________________ -blind |

merlyns: Thanks! I made everything a bit gritty on purpose for this. At one stage of the painting everything looked a bit too sharp.
Enayla: Thanks!
ballistic: Thanks!
Blind: I use a tablet and I set the sensitivity to pressure most of the time but for the leaves I set the sensitivity to fade. By doing this I get short strokes that taper of and end like tear drops. You'll get longer strokes depending on what # to. This is the only time I use the fade setting. _________________ Mindsiphon Dark Art |

I'll second that. Probably the coolest thing I've seen from you. Not that other stuff you've done isn't cool mind ya, I just think this piece in particular rocks the fuckin house.

VERY nice! seems like you got his style down pretty good! not often you see anyone that can mimic his odd rendering-style. |

Great stuff, touch-and-go atmospheric, except for the mouthpiece, which is kinda flat. I realize it's the focus, but since it's an eye-catcher I think it should reward me for looking at it Maybe an inkling of reflected light would help some? THe colours remind me of that underwater Alien chase scene (I just saw the whole trilogy)
Everything you do is a visible step further. From what I can tell, your imagery keeps growing and growing in maturity. Good work! _________________ www.torsteinnordstrand.com |

Malachi: Thanks man!
Binke: Thanks! I wasn't really trying to mimic his painting style but I wanted to paint something that looked very otherworldy and deadly.
Torstein: Thanks! I'm always experimenting and trying to bring my stuff up a notch. I lost a bit of the glisten on the mouth while finishing it up. It was there but its not that noticeable now. _________________ Mindsiphon Dark Art |
