Started as a rough sketch on a4 size paper from a tiny photo http://www.epilogue.net/cgi/database/art/list.pl?gallery=3472
(of artist's profile) and then i used the sketch as a base in PS around 2-3 days
i guess i still dont have any style and technique but i do things how i like....

Thanks if anyone would like to crit / comm

not bad.. infact i like it.. One blaring problem I see is with her eye... The eye on the right side isn't alligned and a bit deformed..
over all I think its a great sketch..
I think that if you improve the hair by detailing it. and if you fix the eye.. then it'll look very cool
Stick around these forums.. look at how the other artists color.. and learn.. keep on drawing and painting.. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

hey there, i looked at your reference and it was a wee bit small. if you'd really just like to practice on a drawing, and not make it stylized, it's generally not a good idea to pick such a small picture. you tend to make things up (stylize!). go to www.imagebank.com and find pictures there to copy, they have some nice ones. figure out how you want the image to look, the general look. and then you can improvise as you go along.
anyhoot, here's my feeble attempt to draw from your image.

Thank you so very much for that link to imagebank.com jr. what an excellent source of reference for digital artists! Corbis had quit letting you preview a "slightly larger sample" for it to be large enough for ref. and I hadn't found a decent substitution (or hadn't really looked really) anyways... thank you. jr.
