Sorta like the whole polarbear in a snowstorm thing, except visible.
Did this the other night for my girlfriend, decided to post it here to see if any of you had any ideas for improving it, its more or less done, but I might work on it more if anyone has any ideas. criticism is welcome, I'm a glutton for pain as before

| the backgrund is kinda unclear. I think there's snow and trees but where's the snow and where's the trees? and, some higlights on the nose and eyes to give it more liquid, wet feel. |

maybe the ears are abit too lage, looks like an elephant 
and the underside of the mouth is missing for me. the whole head is abit too short isnt it? the fur is very nice

This looks very promising! Imo, it could definitely use more shine in the eyes and nose, and the at some places the edges of the background are harder than those of the deer, which makes the two just a little conflicting. Maybe soften up the lines of the trees. It really does look good though, keep at it!
