Thought I'd throw this out there since I haven't seen it mentioned.

I kept having problems with my Wacom tablet conking out on me.

I finally called Wacom. After I explained the problem, the first thing the tech asked was if I had Logitech Mouseware installed.

The long and short of it is, I did and now I don't... sure I lose some of the advanced features of my mouse (which I never use), but now hopefully my Wacom tablet is bombproof.

Hey Godwin, yeah mouseware does not like to share. According to the Wacom tech, any version of mouseware does not work with any version of the wacom drivers.

You can still use the mouse without mouseware, you just can't use the fancy mouseware advanced features.

I see I'm not on my own there,
I use a dual optical logitech and wacom tablet
I dont use the mouseware, but as soon as I use the mouse wheel I have this pop up window with a crash message, I'm using win XP which is very stable so I just click the window away every time and the tablet driver seems to work fine, I dont know what program crashes actually, might be the nmouseware, doesnt stop the mouse working and the tablet either Razz

PS; what I mean is I clic kthis window away ONCE after win XP has started, since I start XP just once a day and pretty much never have to reboot it, I never bothered searching fora patch, and reading what you say I assume there is no such patch anyway ;/

reminds me of SoundBlaster vs XX woes

From what I understand, it doesn't matter what kind of mouse... if you have mouseware installed, it will spork your wacom driver.

in what way? i've yet to experience any troubles with it.. i've been using a Logitech mouse with Wacon Tablet since '97, and the only trouble i have with my tablet is when i get an email come through on Outlook and the 'a new mail' prompt pops up, i've now disabled that and have had no trouble with it at all since..

It isn't the logitech mouse that's the problem per se... I still use my logitech optical cordless no problem. It's the logitech mouseware program that somehow relinquishes control from the wacom tablet. Maybe it is only under certain circumstances, but the tech made it sound like all versions of mouseware screw up all versions of the wacom driver software.

I suppose it's also important to note that I am running Windows (XP Pro) not a Mac.

Thank god im not alone Smile
My problems is with Logitech Double optical mouse thingie
and a wacom intuios a4. Windows XP.

The mouse pointer jumps randomly sometimes. often to the corner of the screen.. totaly weird. Exspecially if you draw or play quake Smile
So i updated to latest mouseware drivers hoping that would help.
I see know that i need to uninstall them at once..

THANKS!

for mac users, (tho' i never had any problems with compatability between my logitech wheelmouse and my wacom) the better driver set to use is USB Overdrive. it allows each button and wheel click or scroll to be mapped to a different function in each application you use, and works perfectly. great for maya.
I'm sure there's a PC equivelant. I got it at version tracker -don

I have mouseware installed for my logitech mx300, though I keep the foolish icon away from the tray. The only problem I have with my driver is each time I restart my computer (win XP) I have to remap my tablet to the left crt, with correct colors
