I've written a rough outline for a children's book, primarily as a vehicle to continue working on this style... This is the second picture. It's a bit of a crazy plot about a cat that thinks his tail is an icicle. Smile

"At holiday time someone always hangs a bit of holly on Bam's tail"

And here are some texture details:

This one has also this cool orange lighting in the scene.
Keep it up, it would be cool to see the story also but maybe its going to be published?

ha ha, If it does ever get published, I'll have to buy a copy Laughing
Great texture, How are you planning to place the image on the page? It might look good with a textured edge like some of your other illustrations. Hard to say. I worked at a library for a few months giving computer lessons and sorting books, I used to love looking through all the childrens books - Great inspiration.

Wouldn't the cat be afraid of having his tail melting away in the spring then?
Maybe the indoors enviroment could be made a little darker and warmer colored?

I like the contrast between the cold winter colors outside and the warm colors inside.
