Computer loads, finishes, no harddisk activity, all is silent and calm, and I sit and still have to wait for the wacom to kick in.............still wait...........not quit there............finaly loads. Takes about 1Min to load..
It has done this once before, think I updated the driver, but that did not do a thing this time. Wacom was no help.
If I was able to ....er....dial up it wouldent be an issue but I cant untill wacom loads
ArtZ ll? 6x8 serial, WinXP wacom 4.75.8 _________________ Kevin Moore

My serial ArtZ II 12x12" does that too. I just suck it up and wait for the thing. It doesn't seem to do it every boot, only once in a while. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

I'm pretty sure we're all screwed when it comes to the drivers loading, I've got the intous 2 9x12 and its still the slowest loading out of everything on my comp. Unless wacom does somthing to the code we're just going to have to enjoy waiting. |

it normally doesnt do this, it usually loads up ......... you know, it may just be the newer drivers.... I never had a problem untill the last two versions..... _________________ Kevin Moore

bizzar, my drivers take .5ms to load in 2k i dont' even know they're loading its so fast..
you don't say how much RAM you guys have or what HDD u have..
XP does sux in a HUGE way - onlyl decent thing about it is that its more stable than 98SE for games use. so i have it on my gaming rig but i wouldn't let it anywhere near a workstation..
my sys spec is Dual PIII 1.1Ghz, 2Gb RAM, 40Gb Seagate Baracuda IV
i've got a serial Wacon Artpad II using the 4.75-7 drivers |

Well I have a P3 933 1.5Gig ram Maxtor DiamondMax 9 ultra (well untill my Granite Bay chipset is for sale)
Iv used Winxp for quite some time now and that is not the problem. My wacom drivers used to load along with everything else untill recentlly. _________________ Kevin Moore

the reason why it loads so long cuz of the other programs, not yours. I remmember having to wait for 3 min for it to load up, i found out that its windows XP trying to configure my LAN. |

CHA-CHING That was IT!!! THE NETWORK!!!!!
Give yourself an Ip (if you can) and Windows wont have to sit there untill it figures out that it will have to use the default 169.blah.blah.blah.
More spacific, I REenabled internet sharing, that gives you the 192.168.0.1 Ip and winblows will not have to figure it out on its own!!!!!!
Thanks Bang ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________ Kevin Moore
