Hello
I was painting this Mecha today. I painted it in the orange color and then when I looked at it outside Photoshop it was red.
Anyway, What do you think of the design?
I added 4 pictures in different colors, let me know which one is best or worst.
C&C totally appreciated.
The original painted version
orange
Blue with smoke
Sketch
Stay easy on the Gamma

Its really cool, and I like it better than the last three. Best one yet! My main gripe with this one is the pose again, it looks like its constipated. Keep it up dude! |

getting better with the day mathew
the yellow one is obviously the best
clean it up a little and give the shading and highlights more contrast.
The blue one would be nice if it wasn't for the ugly smoke.
the model overall is pretty nice but you made it a bit to sketchy _________________ r3t-art |

The pose seems wrong. If you were standing in that position (with the knees folded) you would fall on your bot... _________________ www.ELLioTEK.net PLAY BOUNTY KILLERS! |

can i suggest, that instead of making new topic for every new update post a reply with new verison in one thread and change the topic name. This way other people topics won't fall down so fast + it's easier to see the progrees.
Anyway it's getting better with every update... _________________ portfolio | art blog |

u know i really think you should start your sketches with a skeleton. i mean draw up simple boxes and tubes in 3D so you can get a feel for the perportions and just the volume of the mecha. it will be easier for you to visualize the ending details.
I like the fact that your working constantly and are not lazy like me.
so keep it up!
thats the only way to get better ![Wink](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) _________________ Life is a sexually transmitted disease. |

Thank you I try to sketch and paint everyday.
I usually starts with a skeleton and have actually done so with these Mechas too, but I didnt want to get too much box sketching on the Mechas cause then they will end up looking like Transformers.
