Hey people! I've been doing some art on my new 17" iMac lately (512mb, 800Mhz), but somehow the tablet doesn't respond as fast as I'd hoped. I have the feeling it's kinda sluggish, especially in Painter 7.

Perhaps anybody has some Mac Tablet/Application optimization tips for me?

how much RAM you got allocated to Painter? and are you running X and then running Painter within 9.2?

first try allocating 300Mb to painter and if your running in X, run in 9.2..

if you don't know how to allocate RAM, goto the application folder, open it, select the app then hold down the command key (apple key) and pres I, this will bring up the app informtaion , then in the drop down box select memory (doing this from memory because its bin 8 months since i touched a Mac) then allocate 307200kb to the program and close it

now when you open Painter it will take 300Mb of RAM out of your 512Mb -50Mb for sys.. Smile

hope this helps Smile
