Isn't it disgusting how much money Spielberg is gonna make by making each object appeared in the movie available in stores?
Hehe, sure it's been done before, but not to this extent. Here you have shoes, watches, sunglasses, car, clothes, whatever else..
Lets hope this rude business invention doesnt get spread as *.99 price tags did. |

And hey, in that case, fuck half of this entire board for being COMMERCIAL ARTISTS. |

impaler, there is tasteful work and there is tasteless work. choosing to make every fucking thing in a film a marketing opportunity is tasteless. you can do commercial art without making a film a commercial. |

Thats pretty lame. I can imagine him on the set... "Yes please move the Oakleys stand closer to the center of the scene, excellent... Action!" |

Hehehe yes, but hopefully the movie is gonna suck and nobody will want to buy the products so they go bankrupt.
Imagine if StarWars had such thing going on, lol. Everyone would be wearing Vader helmets and Jedi costumes! |

I liked how Minority Report integrated some things into their movie. Like the Lexus factory. |

Let's see here:
- [the movie people] sell everything from the movie.
- You don't like it.
- [insert name here 1] likes it a lot.
- you don't purchase it.
- [insert name here 2] also likes it.
- you post on sijun about how much it sucks.
- [insert name here 3], [insert name here 1] and [insert name here 2] talk about it all day.
- You get angry at all the commercials for it.
- [insert name here 1], [insert name here 2], [insert name here 3], [insert name here 4], [insert name here 5], [insert name here 6], [insert name here 7], and friends all go see the movie.
- You don't want to admit to seeing the movie - since it sucks - so you download it instead and watch it in your room.
- [insert name here 1], [insert name here 2], [insert name here 3], [insert name here 4], [insert name here 5], [insert name here 6], [insert name here 7], [insert name here 8], [insert name here 9], [insert name here 10], [insert name here 11], [insert name here 12], [insert name here 13], [insert name here 14], [insert name here 15], [insert name here 16], [insert name here 17], [insert name here 18], and [insert name here 19] all go out and buy the products aswell as many other people.
- [the movie people] get lots of money and don't really care about your opinion, as they laugh all the way to the bank.
- you just keep doing whatever you were doing while not making a lot of money.
personally I find their method of getting cash much better than yours. |

here's evidence that the movie sucked and the product placement was horrible
"The typical Will Smith movie stars a semi-tough, big-eared, endlessly charismatic, rapping matinee idol who can be relied on to save the world with sarcasm, irony, and corniness. As such, in ''Men in Black II,'' he's a better-placed product than the Whoppers and Sprint PCS phones. "

ive never seen such a deterring post in my life hamster.
bout the issue at hand, MiB was from the beginning a pure cash flick. is that icky? yea, and if you really want to get indignant try thinking of it as taking screens and audience and money from films that actually entail ingenuity and introspection and heart. i find it offensive, sure, but i don't get too upset cause myself while i enjoy great works of art, i don't depend on them in any way. as far as it works with me i can watch garbage and take as much from it as anything else cause anything will get my mind running. I suppose this isn't the same with everyone and that's why so many smart people are very vocal about keeping smart art around - maybe somehow it will open stupid people's minds. I don't know if it does or not though. |
