Thanks for this very inspiring. However, I think the composition could use some work as its a bit too centered. You might want to go fully abstract with this too.
I did some painting on this. I really like the texture in the close up one so I sorta screwed with it! This very rough idea. I dont claim mine is an improvement just wanted to mess with it! Good work btw! Here is what I did just a link: http://light1.home.mindspring.com/copies/paint_overs/girla.jpg

Yes another praise giver, this really is cool.
The overpaint though makes it lose what makes it work, what makes it work (for me) ARE the parts that aren't abstracted. THOSE EYES! it puts a human behind the paint.
