Hey..haven't been able to post much lately. (Not that I've ever been regular) I just started artschool and they are keeping me busy with making collages with leaves and compositions with abstract lines. (Very busy btw..they say a 60 hour per week workload is normal)
Anyways..I am finally getting some assignments that have me draw stuff. So here is one I did just now. It's an illustration about one aspect of your character. In my case I picked "nostalgia"
Sorry for the crap quality..I need to get a scannner. my nikon looks like crap for stuff like this.
Oh and since I am posting anyways..here is a photograph I did this afternoon. Same subject different approach.
(the book says "returned to paradise")
And I'll throw in a picture of a project for 3d just for fun...

oi
argh..Now that I saw it again..that first picture looks really horrible. Nothing like the original. Fuck..I need a scanner.
Glitterbug:
That 3d thing is actually a shape that I had to "abstractify" from two letters that I had to choose. Start with the letters and slowly change the shape into something abstract. In my case it's kind of like this little plant thing. What you see in the picture is actually some fine fencing material stuck in a styroform ball.(and covered in primer) I will need to cover it with paper though. Which I am working on right now.
Bang.. Actually I posted some stuff three or four times in the past year. It's still up on my website/dumpinggrounds here It's a big mess but there is some nice stuff. Including the assignment I did for my college interview. (the two pulling guys)
The sixty hours is including class hours. My classes are four days of basically nine to five and then I get enough homework to get me through the weekend. But it all depends on how much you you do. You can cut corners of course. I just don't see the point. I am learning a lot. It's very fun. There is a lot of fairly vague classes that just study form and stuff like that. Or where all you do is make up concepts basically. But I love doing all of them and I really feel like I am getting a lot out of it. You'd be welcome to drop by. And I speak english btw
