Very nice job. The piece really wowed me at first glance, but after examining it a little more closely, I noticed some inconsistencies that detract from it. The face and neck are incredibly well done, as is her left arm. But then other parts, most notably the scissors and the shading on the breast of the dress, need a little bit of work. The scissors are far too simplistic and 2D for the rest of the image, and the shading on the dress looks washed out and muddy. It doesn't have the same clarity and richness of the rest of the image. Looks very dodged, actually. Besides those, my only other critique would be that the edges really need to be cleaned up, mostly in her right arm. Overall I think it's a great piece (the color in the face and neck is amazing), but those nagging flaws hold it back. |
