I love "Sierra Vista".. kickass.
I'm entirely oblivious as to how you went about composing this music. Do you do it all on your computer, or do you sample real instruments and stuff?
What software do you use? I always find this stuff amazing. |

Nice tracks, personally I'm into Breaks, DnB and Hard House (more bass) but anyway, really cool tracks. Keep 'em coming. |

balistic, suggestion
I think the last version was better with bass because now it's too complicated and sound is a bit weird hehe
Maybe not |

Hey Mr. Prince!
I really like the moody basslines and synth things in the first track (gravitational sheer), but I think the underlying drums and such are without any "rhomb" and power, whatsoever....
Edit: I'd like them to be as hard end cold as your industrial paintings
But maybe I just don't get it?

Thanks guys. Lately I'm using a program called Orion Pro made by these guys. It basically emulates tens-of-thousands of dollars worth of synthesizers and studio gear on a computer in real-time for a hundred bucks.
I like it a lot. |

Thanks again guys.
buyuu: I actually don't know how to play keyboard . . . I mean, I'd probably pick it up fairly quickly because I know how to put melodies together, but all my composing has been done with keyboard and mouse. I've never had any traditional music education.
You should perhaps go over to www.maz-sound.com and try some demos or freeware to see what you feel comfortable with. |

I like Buzz quite a bit, Buyuu. It's a little primitive (it's still 16-bit), but it's free, and is pretty powerful. The learning curve is a little steep, though.
If you're ambitious, you should read up on music theory. There's a few sites on the web that can teach you how to read treble and bass clef, what rests and time signatures mean, and even about major/minor scales and chord construction. |

I liked the Gravitational Shear song, expecially towards the end where it gets all funky. That's what I have problems with, I work on this one section of a song that loops about 10-20 seconds over and over again and I just spend so much time on that small loop that I get burnt out and it never progesses past that...I guess it just comes with practice and listening to a lot of other music.
BTW, yes, Buzz is good, I used to use fruity loops, but Buzz tracker provides such a cleaner and more "under the hood" output...it just takes more effort to get things working and sounding good...it seems a lot like this Orion program you were describing in that way that buzz uses machines which are like virtual studio gear. You actually insert the different machines and effects and connect them in whatever way you want...

balistic: Wow, these are awesome. Always been on dial-up before, so couldn't listen to any of your stuff. Now I'm on broadband, seems like I've got a bit of catching up to do. |

So, when are you, Giant Hamster, and Loki gonna get together and collaborate on some tracks?
I've been so busy with learning 3D that I haven't touched my Korg Triton Workstation for like...God knows how long. |

Impaler: "it's still 16-bit"
Actually, Zach. It's 32-bit floating point processing crap while running buzz. Also, When you export your music, if you have the Cyanphase overloader - which comes standard with buzz now - then you can export at 16, 24, and 32-bit. Straight to mp3, ogg, and multi-track even. |
