I'm 15 years old, and a new user here. I can't help but feel a little out of place, what with all of these incredibly talented people posting around me. Anyhoo, I suppose I'll add my 10 cents... Bare in mind that I'm always open to criticism, so give me your worst!

Ah, and just out of curiousity, could all of you post your age in the event you reply to this? Thanks.

These are two of my favorites that I've done this summer. I know I've got a long way to go... I'm not yet using color extensively, and feel that I'm too attatched to the airbrush and smudge tools in PS. Dive in:

A character of mine that I call Robbinson. A few other thing's I've done have featured him, but nothing else worth posting yet.

Wow, hahaha. I didn't see that coming. Don't worry, I don't mind.

I like the texture you used to fade out the chest. Are you using Painter? I'm on PS6.

I'm glad you like it.
Hehe it's your style man.

I use PS 7.0 and for this painting the new texture brushes and the normal airbrush and the penciltool.

Not to offend, but it seems with the underscore_whatever in every image you're heavily borrowing from Hardcorepixx's style.

The 2 syllable dialogue?

You're right-Hardcore's style did influence me there. Just as Hardcore himself mentioned in one of his posts, I think the text adds to the theme and feel I'm trying to get with my pictures.

I've used text in three of my pics so far [one of them turned out pretty bad], and only plan on applying it when I think it to be appropriate. The underscore actually struck me as interesting when I saw it replace an apostrophe in the URL for one of my uploaded images about a month ago. Haha, I've been using them for titles ever since, but the dialogue isn't exactly a norm among my pictures.

I definitly think it was perfect for eat_me. i_bite could have done without it. Eh. Too late now. Lessons learned, right? I have this thing about changing pictures once they've been finished. Perhaps I'll only use it on images featuring Robbinson from now on.

Don't take him seriously... I have been doing the whole "writing with the pictures bit" long before HardCore showed up on the board, and I am certian trillions of years before me others were doing it as well. You, Hardcore, and I all have the same desire to expound upon the things we draw... I say go with it. Do drop the underscore though...

I've been hearing so much about these custom texture brushes. I must obtain them! Hahaha...

It's new to PS7, is it not? I'd love to use Painter, but can't use the 6 upgrade without 3... and can't use 3 because our new computer has no floppy drive. Oh, what a world...

Haha, thanks. I bite was originally just a snake. A normal snake. When 'normal' came to mind and I had to do something about it.

Mmm, I've been messing around with color a little more in the last month, but always seem to come back to my B&W's. Don't know why. I really love the thematic effects I can get out of it, though. In any case, look forward to more color from me in posts to come.
