Portraits are definitely your strongest attribute. I'd like to see my (Gandalf) other hand a little more defined, as well as my hat, though. :P

Nice painting, I like the palette...Gandalf looks really convincing. The other character (Frodo?) seems awkward because his hood looks shifted to one side and flattened. Other than that, really nice piece

well, i started it a few months ago and finished it yesterday. but total work time is probably 4 hours. a quickie i guess

hrmm - what i'd like to see is that the ring get all tidied up. Guess its a bit wierd since its a circle .. maybe an ellipsoid shape would be better?

and also more detail in the hand close up.. so that the fingers are more seperate. just my ideas.

VERY GOOD

Few things which I noticed:

Frodo ( or just left character ) like a baby or a very very jung boy.
The ring ( I think it is ) - I think it would be much better if you paint it in white and maybe glowing.
