just updated my fighting engine with background scrolling. I would love to hear what people think of the background art, and how your computers handle it...
It's a biggy, DSL or higher would be a good idea...

I think it's about time to step out of the flash domain and let this junk fly in a downloadable format inwhich you can go all out and not really even worry about performance issues. |

I'm on DSL and I have a fast CPU (at least for games )
It's running fine and the download was Ok.
Really cool project you have going on there-kinda a mixture of the comic style of street fighter and mortal combat.
Amazing-back then these were one of the best games on the Snes and Megadrive, now I can play stuff like this on the net for free.
I think it looks great.
Though I had troubles figure out moves or attacks. I could just punsh and kick and do a combo of both of them, kinda boring after a while of playing.
Really cool work.
EDIT:
oh forgot about the backgrounds.
I think the forest/jungle looks really cool, though I don't like the others that much, cause there is a lack of details.
I also think that the skies look a bit flat.

Giant Hamster- lol, yeah I know this is pretty crazy to make in flash, but the production cycle is so much faster. there will be a self contained exe soon, but not until I am totally satisfied with the game engine.
silber- thanks for you input. Try pushing different directions with each punch / kick to do lots of different moves. there is a moves list on the main page.

You can also do charge back moves like guile's sonic boom in SFII. Grab are forward with both punches or both kicks. Thanks for the crit on the backdrops. I agree with you on the clouds, I'll work on thsoe some more...
hyptosis - thanks man, keep playing! |
