Well I've been surfing this furum and eatpoo and you guys have inspired me to try my hand at this digital painting thing. I posted this pic in the speed painting thread even though it's not speed painting. I figured it would get seen that way.
I love all the stuff that goes on here.
Everybody keep it up.

it's done with Photoshop and a mouse.
Took me about 4 hours. It's my first try. tell me what you think.

Thanks for the good words guys.
I'm having all sorts of troubles linking to my pic. someone on eatpoo told me I can't link to brinkster for some strange reason.

AndyT: I've played with photoshop before but I've never tried painting with it before. And thanks for the encouragment.

these are very promesing for first try gotta love the style.

man you have potential!

crits: the first picture is very nice but you shouldn't have to blur the window pretty nice window design tough.

the second on is very cool maybe some clouds in the background? and some more color in the air just a little bit. o what the heck I'll try to make a repaint some time than you'll know what I mean.

the third very funny can't really comment on that one sorry....

gotta say you have talent.

lots of wows from me I'll get that repaint as soon as possible done if you don't object...

Hey thanks for the crits. As for the bluryness, I was going for that thick atmasphere look. On both paintings. I guess it didn't turn out so well.
I'll work on that.
And I have no problem with you doing an overpainting. Feel free.

To my knowledge, thick atmosphere conserves the form (sharpness of sharp edges and softness of soft edges) The thing that is lost in thick atmosphere might be colour and contrast. Keep it up - get a tablet and be happy
