Giger's work is based on a very good knowledge of anatomy.. particularly inside the body, artists usually focus on the outside. |

Ancient, really, stfu. Dont upset me.
As for the art, I am clueless to who ginger is, unless you mean the root. Though, the root doesnt much look like that, more like a potato. I like the drawing, though, the significance is vague at best. |

Giger (not ginger) is one of the Gods of macabre. If you're not familiar with the work :
www.giger.com
He was the inspiration, and original designer, for the Alien movies aliens. Some of his artwork was almost confiscated at a border crossing because the officers thought it was real photography of dead children (or something to that effect). Amusing how art can move one's soul like that. |

Bah. You kids. ^_^
I like Giger a lot, and yeah, while this doesn't quite follow his mutant baby / vagina cavern / mechanical whatnot, it brings him to mind.
We're all amateurs here, but I can't reason taking advice from anyone who's never heard of Giger.
Nice stuff. I'd like to see a whole legion of your creatures. They've got a creepy interchangeable-limb horror. ^_^ |

neat, could use some more variation in values , give it a more solid feeling. But as far as simulating ink and pencils in PS6 you did a pretty good job, almost looks like it was pencil (or charcoal) on some sort of newspring.
oh, also reminded me a lot of Isamu Noguchi's "lynched" figure, which i love.

Started on a new picture with the same type of caracter. I've decided to do a whole set with thes caracters, thes dancers. Thats what they are, dancers. Dancers in my own world witch I created in my head when I was a kid to hide from the reality, I still got that world in my head but It has gone darker. I get moast of my inspiration from that world...

Screams Tool more then Giger to me, but is a nice work. I can see the giger influence. Definitly more tool like though, particularily the video for Schism. Might that offer you some more ideas? |
