this is a creature illustration for Lost Isles, although the client only needs the lineart I decided to go a step further and try my hand at digital painting. Until now I really have only worked seriously in pencils and ink, but want to build a more painterly style into my skill base. So this is my first serious step (or stumble) into painting digitally (and unfortunately still with a mouse). I would love any feedback people can offer as far as the style, also and crits on the design of the creature would be great too.

personally I think its as good as anybody like Francis or cos could come up with. Very nice stuff. |

Wow! I think the coloring job looks quite nice sicne it was done with a mouse. Sorta reminds me of washed out water colors. Very cool. Very interesting lighting you have there... It fits well with the picture. hrmmm i thought i had a crit or two but i got lost i nthe picture.. looks good to me =) |
