We just finished our new web site. We had to keep it pretty straight forward as a majority of our clients are very corporate and if things get to Flashy and long to load they get discouraged rather quickly. Anyways hope you like it! Thanks for looking!

I like it... my only crit (actually a disappointment) is that the last two engaged gears are not animated on the intro. It wouldn't add much in the way of size since the animation would only have to cover one complete tooth movment... DO IT!

My disappointment is that the skip intro vanishes so quickly. You need to have it there all the time... It loaded the intro and after that I was stuck with the music and an intro I didn't want to see. So to skip the intro I just closed the window without bothering to wait what's inside... And there might be other people like me as well, and you do want them to see the actual site as well? It was a nice animation but when I go to see a webpage I expect to see one, not just flash everywhere.

I'd have to agree with the above, also the pre-loader didn't work for me, it was very jerky and slow, I have ADSL, maybe it's my computer, but remember on the web you are catering for a huge range of different users, so try and test it on a few machines to see how it runs. I would lose the moving enter button, have the enter button stationary and then have something moving next to it, above or below it. You want to ahve a stationary point for the enter button in my opinion it looks a lot more professional. The design inside is nice yet not too flashy which is a good thing for what you want your website to do. One thing I would chage would be to reduce the font size as it is too large, if you re-size it down a couple of points it'll be a lot easier on the eye. On your services page, the cog covers and uncovers the services header, I think that's a bit pointless, you don't want things covering up titles as it can get annoying. That's about it, try some and these and i'm sure you'll notice the difference. Good job though.

I like your emblem. but the rest of the page is pretty "unprofessional".

No one uses bold text for everything written on your page. try verdana size 11, that looks pertty nice.

use on every page the same position of text. same font, same size, same linespaces. i see, that every of your pages is different!

don't like the blue-white fade, you use for as sub-menu.

hope that helps
regards, lukas

I think you've received a lot of good advice here. I agree about the font size being too large and the lack of consistency in your typography. Not to worry, those are easy problems to fix.

One thing that did bother me was the intro animation. It's fairly long and I'm not sure if it's all that interesting. Also, remember that people will lose interest in your site unless they get to meaningful content fairly quickly. Maybe just go to a splash screen with your logo and the enter button? I think eyewoo's suggestion of animating the gears in the logo is a good idea. That would be more sophisticated and more dynamic than the long intro.

Overall I think you've done a nice job.

the intro is pretty cool. i dunno if you've seen this site, but maybe you should check it out.

just because your intro would be a lot more interesting if you made the text thats moving around move in a more interesting way.

Thanks for the response everyone! I really appreciate it! Its great to get a new perspective from different people, it really helps!

eyewoo: I agree too, right now I'm literally twisting my partner's arm to change it!

Asurfael: I'm putting the skip option on the whole intro as I type right now!

Jolyon Meldrum: Jerkyness eh? Thats a new one, cause we did test it on other machines. I will have to look into that one. As for the "Enter" button, my partner is a programmer and was testing different kinds of scripts in flash, and he thought that it would be cool with it moving around like that I think your right though, having it stationary might be better.

NORRITT: "Unprofesional" Whoa! Ok. I agree with you on the font and bold aspect of the type and I will definetly change that! Thanks!

el scoono: I don't find the intro that long, I find it goes fairly quickly. I'm going to have to look at it again.

edible snowman: Yeah that is a cool site. It has alot of interesting movement to it. We wanted to keep it really simple and not to flashy, I guess a little more movement would'nt hurt anyone eh?

Thanks again everyone, its was all really helpful!
