Finally I was able to produce something. It's been months since I last finished anything, and was content with it. I'll probably be throwing this in the trash tomorrow like everything else, but I want to post it anyway. Don't mind the horribly clich�d name, either.

why so negative?,Looks pretty cool, the only thing that botters me that you copied the spline over and over again, maybe it's better to render it is as one thing

pixtur > it doesn't have a consistent lightsource. Unless you pretend that the spines are all twisted just enough to catch a light that's coming from us.

I think it looks rather neat. I like the "background". It's just fuzzy enough to be vague, but multi-shaded enough to not be flat.

Perhaps if you'd shaded the spine twice, once from each side, and multiplied one version over the top and the other over the bottom, it would look less multiplied?
