wow, amazingly i might have this working now. we'll just hope i suppose. This is something i did a couple weeks ago, it's a wild elf, and the proportions are more akin to a gibbon than a human. (the arms are intentionally freakish) my question basically is, what's wrong with my Photoshop skills, and how do i improve? http://www.deviantart.com/view.php?id=561109

The colors are too bright, too saturated, like the little spots on his arms they literally glow and I don't know if you wanted it that way but they are ugly and hurts my eyes. The other problem is your pic looks very unfinished, there are too many loose ends and smudgy coloring jobs that goes over the line works. The background just adds to the problem because a big blurr of colors for a background never works, you gotta define the shapes! Plus your coloring job is too flat, there's hardly any contrast in it. Really it's not your photoshop skill that matters but your skills, period. You have some anatomy issues that you gotta take care of.(seriously, go in front of a mirror and try out the pose that you drew yourself, and see if it's painful or not)

Heya the picture is nice tough, but just as fate said you have to define the edges a little bit more, and it's an idea to get rid of the linework to, instead you use the diffrent values of your colours!
Keep up the good work
