Greetings,
This is the last in a series of old town concept pictures I've drawn. This picture took way longer then I ever would have expected.
I only spent about 15 mintues shading the picture. I plan on doing a better job of it when I can devote some more time to it.
I even put in the extra time for figuring out the light source... unlike my last concept drawing, where I got a little lazy and just 'winged" it hehe....
C&C most welcome.
- Shawn

Great piece! Ahhh good 'ol marker #3 for the shadows . As for the perspective, the house on the top left corner just does'nt look right. On another note,I'm from Montreal too! Where did you go to cygep? |

Greetings Germ,
I moved to Montreal last January. I took a job here designing casino games and I'm currently taking a comic book art course at Apocalypse Studios. Hopefully that will finish up in September.
I took a graphic art and design at Marconi campus in Sydney, Nova Scotia back in 95'
My long term goal in to get on a game development team (not casino but real games). I'm looking at taking a "Game Art & Design Bachelor of Science degree" (4 years) through a distance ed program. I'm still not sure if it's a good idea or not. I'm still researching it.
Cheers,
- Shawn |

unlike the last time I commented on your pic, this time, I have to say I like it alot, great job. I do agree with Germ01, on that top left building, it looks as if the roof, isn't attached to the frame of the house, but otehrwise god stuff... now finish it up ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Wow, nicely drawn...
I just noticed a problem concerning your shading: The shadow-angle of that little roof-entrance on the front tower is different to the one of the little window on the roof of the building behind the front tower.. |

Hellspawn, I love your drawing.
Suppose you could post a small version showing some of your persp lines, I'm totally curious as to how you set it up... |
