Thank you for the comments!
I have updated the second one at a slightly highter resolution, sorry for the pretty low color depth, but I did not want the file to be too big...

Beautiful work man... i luv the lights and colors of the first pic, the sky texture works great.
The second is nice too, but i think u should add clouds to justify the unlighted (and maybe a lil bit too blue) area of the background (or just lite it, but those nice clouds on the first picture make me prefer the first option). And maybe more lights on the ground of the foreground to indrease the contrast/volume...
Very nice work anyway

good work, overall, but for a nitpick suggestion.. and actually for practical use for an animation.. you should add more clarity and detail to the foreground.. (espacially for animation) you'll run into the fact that it may be shown quick so you need a fast read, and if there are otehr elements in it, and their in the distance, and end up having the extra clarity the front wil fall apart... unless you're playing with a depth of field effect, but my suggestion would be to do that in a post production editing program..

Thanks a lot for the comments, I should have posted that earlier to have more feedback, but disclosure agreement...
NOXizMAD:
I completely agree about the too bluish background, I definitely went too far... I did not really know how to fix it, and the time schedule was very tight (trying to find some excuses )
General Confusion:
I agree as well about more details on the foreground, luckily when the shot was finished, the animated elements helped a lot consolidating the foreground.

I really like the second image.
But they're both good.

can you post any in screen shots with the added animated elements included.. I'm really curious to see how it all came together

if the elements support the backgrounds well, it must be really cool looking... and I'm nosy..... LOL

S4Sb:
Timewise, it is difficult to say, I was doing a lot of other stuff in the same time! I would say the first one was much easier than the second because I did not have to follow any 3D skeleton (very flat field of view) so probably around 5 hours, the second one was much longer, but I don't know how much (maybe 7 hours ??).

General Confusion
Here is the final shot:

here is a detail full resolution:

and here is the shadow-caster mesh:

Vyle,

whenever you post an image, you make me want to lick my monitor...

Your colours are magnificently tasty!
