Well, this is my latest doodle that has become a painting. Very random I'll admit...The background is loosely based on a place I went to on vacation last year, the rest is my imagination. I'd appreciated any helpful critiques or comments you guys could give me on it, especially on making it look more realistic. Thanks.

Well, the guy looks hunchbacked. His neck starts from in front of the shoulders instead of from between them. Also, his arms are long and his hands and feet are HUGE! The eye alignment could use some work too, I've got the feeling that his right eye's a bit eastern and his left is western. So work on your anatomy for a more realistic feeling. The background is great though, and the butterfly is a very athmospheric addition that goes well with the background. Very cool work on the water. |
