Started out as a sketch of a norse shaman summoning a storm, but these snow trolls just kept on coming back.
The reson for the relativly large open space in the top of the picture, is that it could be used for a book cover. Not that it is going to be used, but I saw it as an exicise.
It is painted in PS 7 and Painter 5.5
C & C are very welcome!!!!

The movement is very convincing, nicely done overall. My only concern is that the shadows are very dark and colorless (I have to admit that that also describes the monitor I'm viewing with here at work so my observation could be wrong). In snow there should be much more reflected light filling in the shadows I think. |

Talk about a bad case of freezer burn! I love everything about it....except....maybe a little lighting effect in his hand or at the end of his staff to give it a little more drama. |

Sweet Painting! Itd be a great book cover. I love the muted colors. Only crit is that his eyes look a bit "different", not symmetrical. |

Thank you for your comments! I am new here so it is great to get some respons.
Gimbal8. You might be right about the shadows, when I get at chance I will try to put in some light blue.
As for the eyes G, you are right, I just got to a point where you just don't give a f*?k.
Glowing hand, ahhh, might work? |
