I may sound like a n00b artist here.
But is this a photo...that was put in PS, and layered over with your own medium?
Or is it from a reference, and done from scratch?
Cuz if its just reference, with your wacom or whatever...ITS FECKIN BRILLIANT.... |

is there ink involved in the darkest darks? I'm confuzed as to why some parts look as thought you paid great attention to value changes and others look like you drew with marker over a magazine?
...maybe you bumped the contrast after the scan? but that wouldn't make any sense of the delicate work in the eye on the first image.
anyhow, what's the scoop?

I know the first thing I thought of when I saw these pictures was PAINTOVER. But sadly these drawings are the real McCoy. Not that paintovers are all bad..
I actually searched and found the pictures he used as reference and compared them with the drawings in photoshop, and like I said there are some major differences in certain proportions. Good job on the drawings, I was fooled! |

Minor flaws (like the right eye being a tad too small on that second Meg Ryan picture), but extremely solid handcraft overall. Seems like another goodie donator joined the club - enjoy your stay! |

Well, I thought I understood until you posted the cat. How come you can draw Ms. Ryan but not animals? Did you happen to trace the origional picture? That would explain just about everything. |
