This was my attempt at painting Archimedes's eureka in the bathtub. I have been looking at a lot of Caravaggio recently and wanted to do a piece like something he would do with lots of strong lighting and a classical theme. Obviously this is not on the same level as his work, but I am proud of it nonetheless... This was done sans reference which is unusual for me. Anyway, c&c please. Thanks |

looks nice, although his right hand looks a bit skinny.
One thing though... I thought that the bathtub was supposed to be so full that the water flowed out? So while he's still in the bathtub, shouldn't the water level be higher? It should only come down once he gets out of the tub.
Nitpicking Nice job with it. Especially the skin. |
