hey there
Hosting pictures? Cant help you with this special one. But I DO know a few places to put your files and how to link there.
1) www.crosswinds.net
pro:
unlimited webspace
con:
a)gotta write an HTML file showing the picture
b)ads popping up
c)no FTP access with free signup
d)downtime fairly high(at least when I last tried it)
e)for some reason, they kept deleting my page from time to time
2)www.geocities.com
pro:
few ads, high reliability on accessibility (does this word exist? anyway...)
con:
a)no direct picture linking, so you either gotta write an HTML file showing the pic or tell people to drag the link into their status bar
b)limited space (what, 6MB?)
www.tripod.com (or .de)
same as geocities, good for a 2nd account
that's all that come in mind for me right now. Personally, I asked a fiend of mine who owns a server like a thousand times until he finally set it up dunno how to link directly (view the picture from outside) there either, but I can put a direct link to click on |
