I think you've captured the "oni" look well especially with the sorrowful expression, the wide open mouth and the eyes.
I remember looking through alot of books on ancient Japanese art and seeing quite a large amount of Oni art.
Nice piece. |

I really like that one - the color and his look, particularly. Actually, I can't really read his facial expression, and that's intriguing- one thing I do understand , he's no human. strong image, a good thing you took it out from the sketchbook. |

Another in the same style - some photoshop rendering on top of a marker sketch in my sketchbook. No story with this guy, other than trying to get a subtle "oni" (as in Japanese demon or ogre) influence in the face and expression.

I think he has a Maori look. As in the indigenous ppl of New Zealand. He looks kinda scared, but it's more of a fake expression that he is using to torment his next meal.
Nice overall look. the pallete, the rendering style, the linework. I like this sorta stuff. Great work! |

Sweet drawing, Francis. The colors are great, and do a good job of defining his form. He looks "heavy", if y'know what I mean. |

I like the expression and the contrastof the lines. only thing, is hat the old man doesn't seem to fit with the picture. maybe is he was drawn the same way or positioned somehere else ...
