I felt like doing something where I didn't have to think about character design to much and decided to draw one of my favourite comic book heroes.
I was a little unsure about a background hence alot of black.
Let me know what you think, c+c are welcome.

Nice one Axl! LOVE the skin tone you got working there, although I think it gets too shiny (for lack of a better word) in some places like the shoulder area away from the fire. I think the forearm part is great where it looks much more like skin. The hair is not what I would imagine what the hulk would have, but why not? Everyone has their own vision. He is also missing nipples
Good work, keep it up!

hey Axl really nice pic, superhero stuff is always nice to look at!
My only crit is that the lighting is a little unusual. I understand you're going for two lightsources? The fire works and looks great.
But the second lightsource that is shining on the hulk is only shining on him and that's what makes it look a bit off. Maybe have the second lightsource light up a bit of the black background you have on the left?
I don't know if you got what I meant, but I hope it helped, like I said before, I like it very much ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

...maybe there is a horn or something growing out of his head ill see it too...
it looks... x
x = strange , wrong, funny
the char looks still a bit flat... somehow the volume of his body is not really visible.
the "burning" hand looks good! i really like it...BG is okay but very empty.... fire is good!
damn i need sleep... cant talk/write
Intelligence -9
Level drain
stupid text
me go now sleep, hope me not made too hard critics.

Thanks for your kind words yoda.
I knew I was missing something, must remember nipples.
As to the shine, I was trying to achieve two different light sources(the fire and some external light).
I thought The Hulk had long hair at one time? |

there's an area between his eye and his nose that looks very odd... is it just me?
it looks like som sort of boil or something. am i seeing the picture wrong?
otherwise... i think that the long hair is a VERY nice touch. nice colors and light.

Thanks tyron
Here's a close-up.
I'd say it looks alright but then I drew it.
Anyone else?

jasonN: I was struggling for ideas with the bg hence there's not alot going on, needs some work. I see what you mean about the second light source only affecting The Hulk.
EmKah: The bump on his forehead is meant to be his neanderthal-like brow, over-exagerrated. The face needs work though. Thanks. |

Axl
First I wanted to comment that I really like the coloring in your art. You have a comic book style to your stuff. The only thing I would suggest is the poses. You want to try a little more dynamics in your angles.
I threw this little 5 min sketch together to show you what I mean.
Even in this drawing the camera angle isn't the best...perhaps you could get Cos to comment on that part because he's really good at that. But keep up the good work. This hulk you drew reminds of conan artist I liked. |

Thanks Indian_Prophet.
This something that's been commented on before with my, the pose is too stiff and needs to be more dynamic. It's something that I'm gradually getting out of the habit of doing, I just need more practice. |

Looks good. I don't like the long hair, but that's more of a taste thing ![](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) |
