I had a very bad two weeks--my computer crashed, my health has been lousy, and today I tripped in the shower and got a bloody nose. So I decided to indulge in a night of NOT working, and I drew this really dumb picture. I don't know WHAT it is supposed to be, but it was kind of fun.
Also, because people bugged me to, I made this to go with it. It probably isn't that useful with no text, but like I said, I feel lazy:

Hm, the first one reminds me of Dal somehow, surrealism here I come!
I love the detailed fur but I think a detailed foreground with a not so detailed background looks a bit weird.
Anyway, I love it! |

that sky is really nice.
As is the rat.
well, the whole thing really. hehe. i'm sleepy.
don't know if you intended the cloud to be like "bird spirt" or not, but it's got that feel, gives meaning to the piece.
keep it up.

nice. You definitely have the rat anatomy worked out well. Your rat process is defintely refined. No wonder is was worthy material for a step by step. Incredible detail you have there, no wonder the zoomed out image is so clear.
btw: I noticed the little eyes in the tree trunk... couldnt resist it could you! gotta be cliche.. its trendy.
Hope your nose is ok. |

That is a great piece.
It's real nice to see the step-by-step up there. More and more people should post that kinda stuff. Because there are a lot of people on these forums that are looking to learn.
Great job man! |

FSME - Yeah, it DOES look a bit weird now that you mention it.... Thanks, though!
jer0 - Well, I hadn't actually thought of the bird spirit angle, but now you've mentioned it I'm going to take credit! "Yeah, sure...it's a bird spirit! I thought of that myself!"
Ian Jones - Yah, now I just need to get a similar grasp on human anatomy (specifically faces), and I'll be set! Ha, ha! And, no, I couldn't resist the cheesy little eyes. My nose is making an admirable recovery.
eyewoo - Thanks! And I think I'll do that.
ice_kube - Thank you very much...and I'm glad you appreciated the step-by-step! |
