palladia mors please read

I am amazed by the talent here.


I have some quick question. if you have time could some one please answer. especially palladia mors

I am currently and have taken figure drawing classes at the sf academy art college.

but now I want to learn to use color and learn to paint. do you guys have any suggestions like websites or books or any thing?
here is some of my best work(not that great huh but im still young(just turned 18) so im not a lost cuase I have lots of time to improve.


this hulk is more my normal style(comic book)

hello,

go to as many drawing and painting workshops as possible! Best thing about the AAC. There you will find students who really have a passion for learning to draw and paint.They have the answers of what class to take and the motivation you need to get through art school. Seek them out.

As far as books and websites:

Richard Schmid's "A la Prima" book is the best painting book, very expensive but worth it.
My friend has a good tutorial on his site, a though from NY very similar to the way I was taught at the Academy.

thanks alot mza

I went to the web site and found no tutorial

then I went to your web site And saw your suggested books list.
and Im goin to by bridgemans book(on life drawing). I saw jim lee about 2 months ago at a comic convention and he also recomended it.

here is a painting I just did in about an hour and a half kinda slow for bieng so blurry and un develped.

Welcome to the forum, check out the 'digital art discussion' and look for the thread about Andrew Loomis. You can download his books on figure drawing etc.. for free!

ok I zoomed in and added more detail not as much as I should but more
btw Im aware of the autonomy problems but I didnt use a reference and I wanted to focus just on color not body shape I guess that was stupid should have used a ref
