I have it (yes, I realize it doesn't hit stores until June 5th).
I think it's his best album yet, but others I have talked to seem to disagree. Here's a track listing:
01 Curtains up (skit) 0:29
02 White America 5:24
03 Business 4:11
04 Cleanin Out My Closet 4:57
05 Square Dance 5:23
06 The Kiss (skit) 1:15
07 Soldier 3:46
08 Say Goodbye Hollywood 4:32
09 Drips 4:45
10 Without Me 4:50
11 Paul Rosenberg (skit) 0:22
12 Sing For The Moment 5:39
13 Superman 5:50
14 Hailies Song 5:20
15 Steve Berman (skit) 0:33
16 When The Music Stops 4:29
17 Say What You Say 5:09
18 Till I Collapse 4:57
19 My Dads Gone Crazy 4:27
20 Curtains Close 1:01
White America, Soldier, Without Me, Drips, and Hailies Song are my favorites. |

I like Eminem...most of my friends are shocked when they find out. I'm more a rock person, though.
I need to go out and get his CDs... |

I see now why he hates Britney (doesnt everyone)
I'm neutral to Eminem, but some music is good (and i like his duet with Elton John) |

Meh, I'm indifferent. I judge songs by the song itself not the artist so I really can't say I'd like the CD. If I hear some good songs from the CD I'll probably... legally ... obtain them.
Yup thats my useless slightly off topic post for today. |

I think people see that he's white and that he doesn't suck, and they think it's some mystical skill, and that he's the best MC in the entire world.
Eminem is good, not great. His CD will have about as much lasting effect and artistic contribution as the Spice Girls. |

I used to like Stan before I heard it too many times played by others. Other than that, I only really like Eminem cuz I was introduced to Dido's music through him. @:-) |

eminem, like kid rock, limp bizkit, korn, and most other current 'extreme' artists, is a piece of shit. his music is shit, he samples good artists (dido), and spews dumb self inflating lyrics about how great he is and everyone knocks him cuz they're dumb and he's great, how much he likes to hurt women or abuse homosexuals. he's a waste of life. these new 'musicians' lack vocal quality, good musical quality (traditionally speaking, meaning rhythm, melody, etc.), and make money based on shock value, stealing existing song lyrics / sampling, self-hype, and degridation of women/gays/other groups. they dress like 'extreme' white trash, act like pimping is good, and are so ignorant and grating that it makes me ill. I have yet to hear a single song from one of these groups that actually addresses any issue in society at large or have any artistic value in creativity or sound, they are turds that have stained the musical scene a repulsive brown. |

Hehehhe i say Korn would be like Nirvana or Beatles to some extent, IF they havent sold out. Their early stuff is the sh*t. Is this a pattern? Everyone's early stuff is great and then they go "poop". Thats to me and Hamster to take a note of heheheheheh.
PS: when i see Dido i read 'Dildo' heheheh! |

shizo- take away 'the' and I agree with you- their early stuff is shit. I rarely listened to it, but looking through their early lyrics which go on about 'dykes' in one song at least I hardly find comparing them to the beatles anything but laughable. homophobes or, if like eminem they claim not to be, at least those happy to throw in bigoted slurs, are hardly in the same league as the beatles. |

How is korn like the beatles? I fail to understand this. Its kinda like saying Kevin Smith is like Speilsburg except that Smith sucks.
Comparing Korn to the Beatles is the same thing.
Eminem sucks more than Korn does. |

Vesuvius... amen to that. Eminemim is a whiny little cunt with some serious problems... like getting his head out of his own ass and realising we don't care about his pitiful self-centred whining... Screaming about how hard he is and how he's going to torture and kill people because he's such a hard and scary man doesn't make me think he's cool, it makes me think he's an ass. And frankly, I couldn't care less about the problems he "raps" about - we all have 'em, deal with it. I'm sure the money he's getting paid more than makes up for it.
It's not like his music is any good, either. Dr Dre lost so much respect for collaborating with the arse. And how anyone can put up with Dildo's samey-samey warbling for more than two minutes is beyond me...
Eminem is hip-hop's illegitamate child: Hip-pop.

What a nice, unbiased man he is. How I would like him to be an example to my future children. *retch*

vesuvius, you are so short-sighted
people dont want good music
people want to project an image
eminem gives them that. marilyn manson gives them that. korn and slipknot and icp and bodycount do/did it.
you may care about the quality of the music
that means that you are part of a minority
your vision of good music may differ from everyone else's quite heavily
beep beep end of message, think about it, vesuvius. if it sucks, try and change it within your reach. |

Best band ever? I suppose thats your opinion.
I really wonder how you would rate such a thing compared to the following:
* Eagles - Highest selling album of all time ever. Eagles Greatest Hits has gone platinum 28+ times.
* Pink Floyd - Second highest selling album of all time ever with their album The Wall going platinum 23+ times. Second highest grossing band of all time ever. Most expensive concert productions of all time ever.
* Beatles - Highest grossing band of all time ever with more than 15 double platinum albums and massive performance/production profit.
* Ozzy, Aerosmith, Robert Palmer, John Fogerty, and ZZ Top have all been continously producing new popular music for more than 30 years.
* Pixies and REM are typically considerd the most musically inspirational bands from the 80s.
* Metallica and Alice in Chains are typically considerd the most muscially inspirational bands of the 90s.
* Metallica is the highest grossing band of the 90s.
I don't know who is the greatest band of all time, because I like many bands. However, this list is diffecult to refute, and I fail to find any great place for Korn or Eminem.

wayfinder- I'm not talking about my vision of good music, I'm talking about music that has originality, a message/purpose, does not spread bigotry/idiocy, and a musician who uses high quality vocals / use of instruments. they can do these things and though I might not like them I might respect them somewhat. and they don't even have to have a great voice, beck for instance has a poor voice, but he understands the sound his voice makes, and the way it fits into the rest of his music. but whatever, if you want to be dismissive of my points, and insulting to me than fine, fuck you too. beep beep. |

Judging whether music is good or bad by looking at bands' earnings - ummk.
Korn was original like Beatles, like Nirvana, like REM. THats why their music was good (was, doesnt mean they'll always put out great songs - nobody does) |

Its logical. If a band sucked ass then they would not have an album go platinum 28 times. You have to admit selling an album 28,000,000 times is a whole lot.
Clearly somebody must like that album. If nobody liked that band then maybe they would not have sold so many albums. |

And by the way! Hear the great shizo speak truths of humanity:
Why do all young girls listen to N*SYNC type of pop bands? Why do all ravers listen to ehh.. RAVE? Why do old people listen to classic rock? Why do all rich old ladies listen to classical music? Why do all black peoples on my bus listen to hip hop?! (ofcourse i meant most, not ALL, you ass :p )
Thats because each personality feels for a certain vibe. The things that affect which vibe a person likes or dislikes are basically everything - which conditions they live in, location, people they talk to, everything.
So dont wonder why you like Eagles and cant understand why somebody else likes Korn.
It's all life, a place where nothing really matters :D
PS: sh*t cheney.. you're perfect type to be religious - "woah.. millions of buddhists can't be wrong! harri krishna!"

I didn't talk about earnings once, and quite frankly 'originality' means shit if the person is a moron and uses the original direction to therefore show moronic things. you can be original in being the first person to sink to a new low, or be original, like these folks, in publicly spreading bigotry in pop songs, but that sure the fuck doesn't make you a good artist. I could be original and make up a song about killing blacks, hispanics, women, children, cats, and orangutans, but that doesn't mean the song would be good, it could be good technically as well and still be bad for spreading a hurtful, flawed, and none-too-bright concept. And quite frankly their music isn't that good technically or qualitatively in my opinion either.

What bands do you listen to Vesuvius? From the way you speak, you must listen to the Teletubbies soundtrack 24/7. You seem to be violently against any negativity in music - whether it be satire or not.
You like the Beatles? Are you telling me that the Beatles didn't relay any negative messages and/or suggestions in their music? |

no that's not what I'm telling you, and your argument is bullshit. being against bigotry and being against negativity are different. but you're too fucking stupid to understand simple concepts like that.
go eat shit dumbfuck, just because I have a point you don't like doesn't mean you should go off with ludicrous insults.
