Sightunseen- keep trying, it just takes practice. pay less attention to smudging the lines and more attention to where the lines are going. The computer is a powerful thing, but it'll only make stuff look good if you can draw in real life. try working on some of the values in the picture too

Look, I know it's HORRIBLE, but I have been using photoshop for maybe one year, and I'm only in grade 8, that means im 13 years old.

Hi Sightunseen, keep it up But don't limit yourself to just photoshop, practice with pencils and do a lot of sketching. I wouldn't really worry about photoshop stuff just yet.

Why not try and do the portrait in pencils?

Don't worry about Arc][Pello, just keep doing your own thing and you'll be fine.

sight you have lots of time. Just don't be afraid to start all over. You learn alot from mistakes.

ps I've seen some more HORRIBLE stuff from highschool students. At this age experiement, play and most important of all... have fun.
