I was fairly bored, so I decided I'd go ahead and load up MS Paint, make a few custom colors, and set off. I really like the limited toolset...no layers makes you think more, much like traditional. Yet there's still that damn undo =]
Anyway, this is a scientist guy finally finding the key to eternal life, or something. Those are large basins that create the stuff behind him. Yeah...hehe
I also have a timelapse (6 minutes long, ahh!) of this process if anyone wants to see it--that's highly unlikely though, as the image sucks =] But, ah well, I had fun.

And the obligatory train-entering-tunnel...
Plus a more stylized/super distorted perspective...

Thanks guys =D
Yeah, I actually really really enjoy Paint, because it gives a nice, rich texture and forces you to put down what you want, where you want it. Plus seeing pixels is just really fun...I actually haven't seen pixelated stuff/notable gradations for some time now. Damn technology ;]
I'll probably add to this thread a bit more once I finish a few more off.
Thanks again =] |
