I really like the backgrounds, Mechwyn. So much, actually, that I feel they're stealing the show! But most artists have more troubles making backgrounds at all (myself included), so this is mostly a good thing

Also, I'm no real knower of comic full-page composition, but I think one is supposed to experience what is going on, leading the eye through the page. Somehow I don't feel like I'm cruising this page... And that last panel on the bottom should be much more wild, but it's very quiet and peaceful... while a guy is having his leg chewed upon I'm not sure why I get this feeling, but you might want to look into it?

Otherwise it looks good, keep it up!

I love the artwork. I think it will flow much better with words and "POW" type stuff on it.

Here is what I crit:
In the 4th frame, who is the surprised looking person in the middle of the fram? The person in the blue tanktop looking deal? They seem to appear out of nowhere. Put them in the 3rd frame, or take them out.

Also, it seems really odd to me that this party is totally unaware of a large beast that must be mere meters away from them, and let it manages to sneak up on them, in a river, out of nowhere? I think either the 3rd frame needs them looking around a little, or put in another frame showing some sort of bridge between those 2. Like maybe show a frame of the beast just poking its head up from the water or something. This looks to me like the beast appears out of thin air.
