Friend wanted the bridge painted as a birthday present for his girlfriend (who appearently really likes this bridge...). He gave me alot of references, but the color scheme/composition/sky were entirely original. Took about 5 1/2 hours. C/C, flame, complain, etc...

Hey, good job on this pic. I love your cloud and sun rendering job.
It might help to put more detail in the arc of the bridge closet to the viewer... the waterline below the first arc looks like it should be farther out, or The buidlings (?) should be much larger.
The arcs of bridges show inconsistency in texture (compare first and second arc).
And personally, I like to put faint reflections of sky in the water. =)
Is the building at the end of the series of bridges too blurry (the one with two greenish windows)? I imagine that building would have more structure. And some warm colors may do better in place of the green hues.

I like this piece. =) The clouds are breath taking! Keep working on this even if you already gave this piece to your friend. I think it's worth tuckinging into your portfolio after some touch-ups. > )

Please show us some ref.

Thanks TONS for the thorough critique, Trance. People like you are the reason I still come here .

Below are some of the more helpful references I used. I realize how different my version is.

Cicinimo: I feel honored! Glad my post helped. =)

HO wow!
I just realized how good this art work is after looking at the reference pictures! You totally transformed the reference photos and incorporated your own theme and mood into it!
Excellent!
