Hi again, I've got a quite good looking pic and a problem which nearly makes me go mad (is that English?). I like nearly every part of this pic but I just can't get the human hand looking right. I worked on it for a few hours (just the hand!!!) now but it looks even worse than the one at the beginning. Please show me what's wrong with it.
If you spot any other mistake please tell me
thank you.

looks quite nice that. except for the hand Id say the pose is rather stiff, and the shape of his right arm is bit too "bulgy" or blobby, tricep area for example. his hand - first the fingers are incorrect length in relation to each other, like his forefinger looks longer than the one next to it etc. and the palm and fingers overall are too long. nicely colored character tho. a more interesting environment could do alot, next to the better posing part.
.d.

hi nil,
i really dig your style. got some work like you imagined now or are you still working for s+f?
i know, every artist has the feeling, that he/she does always the same faces without reference, but yours are really cool. keep on!
stop hanging around with chicks and i give you one year, then you are germanys most wanted production painter! 2 all the others: apologize my bad english and drunken euphorism. |

concerning the hand: take a digital camera and take a shot. we all want to make it by ourselves, but theres a "konkurrenz ohne skrupel" "competition without scruples" (sorry, alta vista translation, dont take me literally) outside! |

since nobody else has pointed this out yet, I'd recommend trying to change the colour of the handle of the mace. The decoration that's between his fingers is so much of the same tone as the skin that it looks like he has 6 fingers. Otherwise, I really like this one Like you pointed out yourself, the hand is the main problem. Ok maybe this is just in my head, don't take anything I say too seriously... |

Thank you for your crits.
d.a.r.y.l.: You're probably right in every point but also I know what's wrong I just can't get it looking right! Don't know if you know this problem, i just can't get the things from my head to the paper or computer canvas in this case.
xoco: Thank you for these kind words! I'll write you an e-mail.
Asurfael: Yes the color is not very well chosen but I painet it over and over again so it's not the color it should be anymore. But I'll fix that.
I nearly forgot to show this one. It's just an attempt (?) to do a different style - a little boring but i like the rocket and his face. Any opinions?

Well, you know, the way he's looking at that rocket says "homosexuality" in big letters.
